Though the news of the baby proved a bit of a distraction - especially when they made the announcement to both Fred's parents and to Rupert and Evelyn - they managed to finally get the house unpacked. Even Regan got her room in order, the boxes finally disappearing totally.
The shop that Evelyn's friend have vacated turned out to be the perfect place for the bookstore, located in a well-traveled part of Bath. They got the place for a good price, and between Wesley's contacts and Giles' help, they were able to get things set up. The ground floor was where the stacks went and the first floor became a research and reading area. After some discussion with Giles, the second floor became a restricted area - they decided to stock some magic and occult items but would only sell them to customers on a strict referral basis from trusted sources, such as the Council.
Of course, Wesley's father was not to be informed of this area in the shop. He was still making difficulty for Giles at the Council.
It took a few weeks for things to get set up as they wanted to get the house in order first before they tackled the new business. But soon, the shop was ready to open.
"Daddy."
Looking over from the last of the books he was shelving, Wesley chuckled when he saw Regan standing there with her camera. "Going to document the grand opening?" he asked.
"Yep!"
"Well, you could go unlock the door. We're ready to open."
"Okay!" Regan said, hurrying toward the front of the shop.
Standing up, Wesley went to find Fred, slipping his arms around her when he did. "This is it, love."
