Fred laughed a little at Regan's question. "Maybe, sweetie. So what do you think of your little brother or sister?" she asked before she returned Fred's kiss.
"It's kind of small," Regan said while she stared at the screen. "It'll get bigger, right?"
The doctor chuckled a little and look at Fred and Wesley. "I have some pamphlets your daughter might be interested in reading. They're written for children. It'll help explain things better. I can get them when I get your appointment schedule and prescriptions for vitamins," he offered.
"Yes, thank you," Fred said.
The doctor unhooked her from the machine and left the room. Fred slipped off the table and got dressed again. After throwing the paper gown away, she went over to Wesley and wrapped her arms around him. "I told you everything would be all right," she whispered before kissing him.
Their was a knock on the door and the doctor walked in again. He handed the things to Fred and bid all of them farewell. Fred looked down at the things and then back at her husband and daughter. "How about we get my prescription filled and if it's all right with your daddy, maybe we can stop by the pet store next to the pharmacy," she said.
"Yay!" Regan said as she started to jump around. "Can we daddy? Please?"
"Just to look," Fred pointed out. "We won't be getting anything today."
