Fred was relieved that Angel understood. She didn't want him to be upset with them but he understood, which made her feel better. After leaving the conference room, she went up to her lab and started to pack. Martin had came in but didn't ask what was going on. Seeing him there made her think of Lorne and how they would be leaving him behind. Obviously Martin and him had hit it off so hopefully Lorne would consider coming with them once they were ready to leave Los Angeles.
She was just taping up her box when Wesley came in. "I'm finished. I was thinking--."
Fred stopped however when Regan and Rupert came in. She raised her eyebrows at Regan when she made her comment about them moving to England. It sounded as if Rupert and Regan had already discussed. "Listen to your dad and get your things, Regan. We'll discuss this at home," she said.
They left the building for the last time and Fred felt something lift from her shoulders. She was happy to be leaving and never coming back. Regan decided to ride with her while Rupert rode with Wesley. When she saw all the bags in the bag of the SUV, she snorted a little. "Couldn't say no, huh?" she asked.
"No," Rupert said with a small laugh.
Once they were all settled, Fred followed Wesley out of the parking garage and toward home. Regan was quiet during the entire trip and once they were at the house, all of them went to the living room and sat down. "Regan, sweetie, did you ask your Uncle Rupert if we could live with him?" Fred asked.
"Yes," Regan said with a nod. "I want him to be my daddy and marry you and daddy. Where I lived before, people were married to two people and you and daddy like Rupert and he likes you so why can't you be married and all of us be a family in England? It's better than the stupid firm. And if you were married to Rupert then I could call him papa instead of Uncle Rupert because he's as much of a daddy to me as my other daddy."
Fred just stared at Regan for a long moment before she looked at Rupert and Wesley, wondering what to say. She had no idea the other dimension had those customs. She wanted to be with all of them and have a family. "Come here," Fred said to Regan. The little girl, who was still holding the bag of food, crawled onto her mom's lap. "I love your daddy and Uncle Rupert very much and I would live to be a family with them but they have to agree to it, too before we make any decisions, all right?"
Regan looked over at her dad and Rupert. "I really want us to be a family," she told them in a small voice.
