For the rest of the day, Fred prepared the meal for dinner, glad to be finally using their new kitchen for something besides cold cereal and eggs. Regan helped her, of course, while chatting Martin up about how nice Lorne was. The little girl even offered to show Martin what to wear because she thought he should wear bright clothes since Lorne liked bright clothes.
Soon dinner was finished and Lorne had showed up. Al of them sat in the living room for a bit, chatting before they went to the dining room to eat. Regan made sure Martin and Lorne sat next to each other before squeezing in between her dad and uncle Rupert.
"How were Spike and Angel behaving when you left, Lorne?" Fred asked as she spoon some pasta onto Regan's plate.
Lorne groaned and shook his head. "They were about to rip each other's throats out and Gunn was about to stake the both of them," he said. "Please tell me you know how to fix Spike so he can leave."
"We do. He should be corporal by this time tomorrow," Rupert said as he put some salad on his plate.
"And I'm sure everyone will be happy," Fred said before she started to eat.
