When they got back to the house, Fred took everyone inside and showed Rupert and Martin to their rooms. "Martin, you have the one next to Regan and Rupert, you have the one next to Wesley and I," she said as she pointed to the doors. Rupert raised his eyebrows at the arrangements and gave Fred a cheeky smile. Fred coughed a little and went to get the men some towels.
Upon returning, Fred handed the towels to Rupert and Martin and pointed them in the direction of the bathrooms, saying Rupert could use the bathroom off their bedroom. Once everyone was settled, Fred took Regan downstairs to check over the math and english lessons she'd done the night before.
"Why can't I have a puppy?" Regan asked as she watched her mom.
"Because we've just started a new job, sweetie. We need to get settled first," Fred explained.
Regan pursed her lips in thought and looked at her mom again. "What if it's an older dog that's trained? Can I get one then?" she curiously asked.
Fred thought about it for a moment. An older dog wasn't a bad idea. They wouldn't have to worry about it and Regan could easily bring it to the firm with them. But she wasn't going to say yes until she discussed it with Wesley.
"I'll talk to your dad tonight and see what he says," Fred said with a smile.
"Yay!" Regan excitedly said before she went back to her lessons.
