"This is amazing, Fred," Martin said with a look of awe on his face. "Most of these machines...I've only read about."
Fred grinned and nodded. She loved sharing her lab with someone who knew what the machines were all for. Everyone else had just nodded their heads and looked confused when she'd shown it to them. It was nice to have someone there that had the same respect as her. "I really like it, despite the fact it's in an evil law firm," she said.
She was just finishing the tour when Wesley and Rupert walked in. Fred winked at Martin before walking out. "Go where?" she asked with a confused look. "I told you Martin and I were going to spend the rest of the day, working on some experiments." She then let out a dramatic sigh. "This is what happens when the books are more important than listening to your wife." She saw Rupert smirk and she narrowed her eyes. "You're no better, Rupert."
With another sigh, Fred walked out of the lab and tried her best to hide her smile. She was about to turn toward Lorne's office when Lorne and Regan came around the corner. "Hi!" Regan happily said before she skipped over to them.
"Thanks for watching her, Lorne," Fred said as she hugged her daughter.
"Not a problem. I'll see everyone later. Got a hot date with a sea breeze," he said before walking off and down the hall.
