Fred looked down at the spell when Wesley said there was something they didn't have. Sometimes, the lab had things the magic department didn't have. She was about to say she'd never heard of the compound before when Martin started to speak. She furrowed her brow for a moment before reaching over to pick up the phone on Wesley's desk.
"I know we have the Xenon but I don't remember if we have Relaticq or not," she said before dialing the extension to the lab. "Tracy? This is Fred. Do we have any Relaticq on hand?...Oh, I didn't think so....And how soon could you get it?...Okay." Once she'd been put on hold, Fred covered the mouth piece and looked at the rest of them. "We don't have any on hand but Tracy knows where we can get some. She's calling the dealer to see how long it'll take to get here."
After a few moments, Tracy came back on the line. "What did you find out?...Yeah, go ahead and order some...Thanks, Tracy," she said before hanging up. "We should have it by late afternoon tomorrow.," Fred told them.
"That should give us enough time to gather all the supplies needed," Rupert said before he sat the book on the desk. He then looked over at Wesley. "We'll need to go over the spell several times before performing it. The demons of this dimension are known tricksters and I wanted to make sure there aren't any screwy loopholes."
Shaking her head, Fred looked over at Martin. "Do you want to go see the lab and leave these two to get lost in the books? I'm pretty sure they've already forgotten we're here," she said with a cheeky smile.
Martin laughed a little and nodded. "I would love to," he said.
"We're going to the lab. We'll meet down here and go somewhere for lunch. Then we can take Rupert and Martin to the house so they can clean up and get settled. I'm sure they can handle not having us here for half a day," Fred said, not knowing if Wesley or Rupert had heard her. "Come on."
She led Martin out of Wesley's office and toward her lab. As they approached the stairs, they could hear Spike and Angel bickering in Angel's office. "That hasn't drove you mad, yet?" Martin asked as he pointed toward the office.
"It's about to. I can't wait for tomorrow," Fred said before leading Martin upstairs and to the lab.
