Rupert called later that evening to tell Fred and Wesley that he was getting ready to board a plane with a colleague. Wesley was glad when he heard that - especially considering that Spike was already proving himself to be a rather bad influence on their daughter. Hopefully, the sooner they could help him become corporeal again, the sooner they could figure out what the Senior Partners were playing at, and the sooner Spike would go. He was sure Angel wanted that, too.
The next morning, they went and picked up Rupert at the airport. He came out from immigration and customs with a dark-haired man.
"Uncle Rupert!" Regan called out, running up to him.
With a smile, Rupert gave his bag to the other man and leaned down to embrace Regan. "Hello there, sweetheart. It's good to see you again." He went to straighten up only to find Regan hanging around his neck, so he wrapped his arms around her so he could hold her, and with a laugh, he looked over at Fred and Wesley. "Hello, you two."
"Thank you so much for coming," Wesley said. "I know things have been busy at the Council."
"Believe me, this is far more important than anything going on there at the moment." Rupert then turned and waved the man with him forward. "Fred, Wesley, I'd like to introduce Martin Wilson. He works in the lab at the Council, and I thought he might be helpful in our research since he knows quite a bit about mystically-enhanced metals. Martin, this is Fred and Wesley Wyndam-Pryce. And this little monkey is their daughter Regan."
"Uncle Rupert!" Regan giggled.
"Nice to meet you," Martin said, extending his hand to Wesley, who shook it.
"Likewise," he replied as Martin then shook hands with Fred. "I think we have our work cut out for us with this one."
