Regan walked out of the office with her mom and went to the lab with her. She made sure to stay close to her mom, especially since she had been told by both of her parents to behave and stay close to them. Regan walked into the lab with her mom and looked around. There were so many big machines!
"Fred! Is there anything you need me to do?" Knox said as he rushed over to them.
"My daddy's gonna beat you up if you keep talking to my mommy!" Regan said as she crossed her arms across her chest. "And he has guns and special weapons!"
"Regan," Fred said before nudging her toward her office. "Be nice." She then looked over at Knox. "I have everything under control."
Regan walked into her mom's office and sat down on the couch. She watched her mom walk in and when Knox tried to follow, she used her powers to slam the door in his face before giggling a little. When she saw the stern look on her mom's face, Regan stopped giggling and gave her mom a sheepish look.
"I'm going to go out into the lab. I installed your favorite game on my laptop so you can play that," Fred said as she leaned down to kiss the top of Regan's head. "If you need anything, come and get me."
Regan nodded and watched her mom leave. She moved to sit at her desk to play the game but her attention was on Knox and her mom. Whenever Knox got too close to Fred, Regan would make something move and hit the man. She knew she would probably get in trouble but she didn't care. Regan had to protect her mom when her dad wasn't around.
Finally, it was time to go and Fred and Regan walked to the elevator. Regan waited for her mom to scold her for misbehaving but she didn't say a word. When they got to the elevator, Regan ran up to her dad and hugged him.
"Your daughter is very mischievous," Fred commented before she pushing the button for the parking garage.
"I made a microscope hit Knox in the head," Regan proudly said as she looked up at her dad. "And mommy thought it was funny. Look!" She pointed at Fred, who was trying hard to hide a smile. "She still thinks it's funny!"
