Wesley nodded when his wife said she already figured out the antidote. So the problem now was getting the boy so they could give him the antidote without releasing the virus. With a block in place on the trigger and knowing how the charm worked, Wesley was fairly sure he could manipulate the vessel to let Fred administer it. They had to get the boy into the lab without Fries knowing.
Before he could say anything, though, Lorne returned with Regan. He looked over at Fred when she said she'd take her down to the lab with her.
"All right, love. I'll talk to Angel about Matthew Fries and see what I need for blocking the trigger. See you both by the lift." He reached up to caress her face for a moment before looking down at Regan when she said he'd better not keep them waiting. "Yes, ma'am."
Once they were gone, Wesley went over to Angel's office to speak to him about the situation, telling him what he and Fred had. Angel was glad to hear the news and promised that they'd have Matthew in the office in the morning while Lorne sat in on the trial. Wesley didn't ask exactly what Angel intended to do in order to make sure Matthew was there, but he knew that if Angel said he would, then he would be.
After their conversation, Wesley returned to his office and spent the next few hours getting everything ready to deal with the charm and trigger. He had to go down to the storage room for several ingredients, and while he was done there, he found himself staring in amazement at some of the things that were there. Not even Giles had been able to get some of these items while he had owned the Magic Box. Shaking his head, he gathered what he needed and took them back to his office where he locked them up for the night.
Once he finished, he saw that it was nearly time to meet his wife and daughter to go home, so he packed everything up and headed for the lift to meet them, very much ready to go home and spend the evening with his family.
