Who: Quinn, Regan - And then everybody else ever What: A party! Where: Jayley's House When: July 2008
They'd been together for two months, and Quinn still woke up nearly every day amazed at his luck. Regan was just... well, perfect, and he'd never imagined he could be so happy. She'd moved into the flat about a month after they started dating- and it had been difficult to even wait that long to ask her (though she stayed over often enough, which had made him happy). The flat just felt more like a home when she was there.
If he were honest, he'd known that he'd wanted to marry Regan from the very first night they'd been together- if not earlier. Quinn knew they were moving fast, but he didn't care- Regan felt the same for him as he did for her, so what was the harm in it? He'd bought an engagement ring (he was trying not to call it her ring just yet, in case she, well, said no) a week after she moved in, and had kept it in his locker in Ballycastle. He wanted to ask her- he did, desperately- but he knew he had to talk to her family first.
In a way, then, he was glad when Regan invited him to her family's summer party. It was one they had every year, she'd explained, for her da and Oliver's shared birthdays. (Nothing like diving in and meeting all of her family at once, right?) Quinn was nervous, to be sure- though mostly at the idea of talking to Oliver and Sean more than talking to Regan's da- but he mustered his courage, put the ring in his pocket, and was determined to at least try. He had to prove to them that he was worthy of her, one way or another.
