Dragging his tongue against the roof of his mouth, his head tipped up and he thought.
"The mansion had underground access. There are places we missed in the basement," he glanced up at Alice, "but it doesn't look like this place does." A momentary pause before he persisted. "The woods is out unless we can get some kind of vehicle..." He reached up and scratched at the back of his head, looking down at his coffee still. Thinking.
"Maybe there's someone here who knows something more?" It seemed to be all they had to go on. He looked up at the two girls, but something about his expression wasn't as cool and calm as his words.
