John, though he'd made his little stoic departure toward the forest fell back a bit so that he wasn't too far ahead of Rain or Chas. He told himself it was strictly for their protection. He righted the coat around himself, tugging it. It was a bit colder than he would have liked.
John made it a point to look everywhere, his eyes never stopped. There was no telling where something could pop up in forest like this monstrous...thing they were approaching. Preoccupied he glanced back at Chas and then Rain. Bad idea? You bet. But staying in that place was just as bad.
