Taku wasn't one to fly off the handle. In fact, for an alpha wolf of his clan? The shifter was incredibly docile. It was a trait that, while soothing to Wind, could of gotten him into a lot of hot water at the Rez. As Wind drove them along, Taku's thoughts drifted towards his home. He longed to take Wind there again and mingle with the other wolves. While he didn't feel like claiming a spot as alpha of the pack just yet? The desire was starting to itch at the back of his mind.
Still, Taku's mind always wondered back to his lover and he cast a gaze towards Wind in his free-roamer attire. He smelled faintly of cougar with the underlining musk of Taku's own canine scent and that pleased the wolf. A low, throaty rumble rose from within him as he reached a hand over to stroke Winds' knee. The boy was like a firefly to him- beautiful, magical in his own right but always slipping free to dance around to the beat of his own drum. Perhaps this was why they had worked? After all, Taku was often called River by his father for his smooth flowing personality and the upstart of rapids when one disturbed his peaceful nature.
The wolf relaxed back into the seat of the bus, the fabric of his taut black cotton v-neck hugged his torso as he crossed his muscular arms over his chest. It didn't take much verbal speech between them to communicate now and Taku used that to his advantage while he glanced out the window towards all the college kids. "You're adorable, you know that? I was stupid to ever think you'd need someone more than me to keep you happy. You're happy on your own, Wind. I'm just lucky to be a part of your life."
His gaze slid over the cougar as he smirked then reached up to rub his now hairless chin. Because he'd intended to look extra sharp for his lover, Taku had taken the time to shave off the stubble he was sporting after the full moon had come and pass. Watching as Wind texted the lad, the wolf pursed his lips. The beast within him was stirring as it always did around another male wolf. Maybe Wind couldn't fully grasp it- or maybe he could with their mental link- but Taku's reaction was only natural. He was a lone, rogue male who'd secured himself a worthy mate and now here was another rogue male who'd had relations with his mate prior and that same male was stepping back into the picture- near what Taku instinctively perceived as his. He couldn't help it that the hair on the back of his neck bristled or that he wanted to growl at this new comer to assure him that the cougar he was 'friends' with would not become more than that.
Maybe it was possessive and maybe he was a bit on the jealous side but not irrationally so. He wasn't about to bar Wind from seeing Chace even without Taku in his presence because he trusted his lover fully. He just didn't want Wind to come home smelling like another wolf. That wasn't too much to ask, was it? After all, that sort of scent play meant that the alpha male would need to mark what was his all over again.
Clearing his throat softly, Taku looked to his partner with a smirk. "You want me to go beat on his door?"
