Who: Dally and Andy
What: Meeting for the first time in ages
Where: Sandwich Shop Place
When: Sometime after Andy is bitten by Casper
Warnings: tbc
Andy may have had more reasons than just convenience behind his habit of bouncing from one brother's home to another, and it wasn't just because he never knew if hed be spending time with miscellaneous fuck buddies either. Like some kind of neurotic mother hen, Andy liked to visit his brothers in turn, not really even to make sure they were all okay (although that was part of it) but so that he could reassure himself that they were all there and contactable, easy for him to get to if he was needed.
Andy avoided watching the news and any newspapers in case he caught sight of his brother, worried constantly like a buzz in the back of his mind that something bad would happen to him while he was out there. He hated open unmarked post and answering the phone for these same reasons. Dally had been away for so long and knowing that he was back in the country eased a large puzzle piece of the anxiety Andy carried around with him, although only one thing would soothe it entirely. His strong-hearted, brave, solid big brother could have protected Andy from many things, could protect himself from a lot of things, but that wasn't the part Andy worried about now that Dally was back; he worried about what Dally had seen out there, he worried because no amount of physical strength could defend you from the horrors of the mind. He worried because Dally seemed so strong and he wanted to make sure his older brother knew he didn't have to pretend to be if he wasn't.
And yeah, hearing Dally wasn't okay had sent him into a slight fretting frenzy.
He was still skinny after the ordeal with Asmodeus and the cage incident but Dally probably wouldn't see the impact as much as Taj or Kareem had as he hadn't seen the 'before' version. He was wearing Chester's jeans (again), a tshirt of Taj's and a hoodie that belonged to Kareem and was wonderfully soft and zipped up at the front, handy because he had his bandaged arm in a sling close to his chest.
His unicorn strengths had healed much of the damage done to him by the werewolf attack he had suffered, his sleepwalking transformation the only thing that allowed him to get away with not going to a hospital. Where before the meat of his shoulder had been opened to the bone, there were now shallower cuts and grazes, some bruising and a little weak tenderness in the muscle; the sling was there just to stop Andy flailing it around too much and pulling at what was still healing under his skin. It was uncomfortable and awkward but Andy would have put up with anything to be able to see Dally today.
He made it to the sandwich place later than he'd thought - he was still so weak that he overestimated his abilities and was constantly frustrated when he failed to meet his own expectations - and he looked around to see if his brother was already there, shifting to the side a little so as to be out of the way.
