Chess/Taj: It would most definitely damage his ears and actually it had. There were some higher pitches he couldn't make out anymore. He didn't wear the plugs into later in his career when he found out what he was doing to himself and it would really do no musician any good to lose their hearing. "Yeah. This place fits 2500 people." He explained. "Can you imagine what this place is racking in a night when you gotta fork out the price of a six pack for just one beer in here? It's scandalous." He shirked a shoulder. "But, I can't complain about the pay here or the steady work. I'm just not used to not having to scrounge around to find work all the time like when I was playing music. Every two weeks I get my schedule and that's it. I have work." He explained as if this was truly something completely foreign to him, because it was. But, Chess was actually growing to like those pink sneakers. He thought it gave Casper flair, a little cool personality quirk and Chess always liked things like that. Oddities. Now that they were closer and Chess was leading them along in tighter space he was really getting a newer look at Casper's features. He kept forgetting how cute the guy was. He had put his arm around his shoulder to lead him to a little nook off the side of the stage. That's when it happened. It was a casual move not meant to mean a thing, but that closeness for some reason sparked a shier look than Chess's face usually wore, making him withdrawal his arm suddenly when reached that nook and he rubbed at the back of his neck looking a little out of sorts. Then he rolled his head on his shoulders and pointed to a pair of folding chairs tucked behind some speakers and lots of wiring at their feet. "I love this spot" He said, "You can see the whole stage and the audience without them seeing you." And he sat down in one of the chairs. "I might have to get up and down some if I'm needed and I will be needed when the acts changed." He explained then when he looked out at the sea of faces in the crowd he started to smile quite whimsically. "Can you imagine how that feels to know all those people are there to see you?" Chess could get lost in it, in his dream of fame. But, as Chess gestured the audience there was someone right in the front row Casper would recognize. Speaking of that little petite sphinx himself, there was Taj right there with someone he worked with and a few other friend/associates all grunged up bobbing to the music.
