Andy had been so sure that he'd been too late, that Kareem had already gone off to work and been assaulted, that he flinched back when the door opened. He didn't even double take at seeing his brother naked, just darted into the house like a cat coming in from the rain and took hold of Kareem's arms above the elbows, looking him over into damage. He shook his head in response to his eldest brother's questions, not wanting him to worry even though he was already too late.
"No one... no one's chasing me... are you okay?" he rubbed hands over Kareem's still sleepy-warm skin like he would feel if anyone had touched Kareem against his will. The fear was still in his eyes, blowing his pupils wide, stark like a terrified horse looked, his touch chilled and his hands shaking. "Are you okay, are you okay-" it kept spilling from his mouth. "K, you can't, you can't go to work, promise me, promise me, you can't go to work, promise, I won't let him touch you, I won't, are you okay, you can't-" he babbled, frantic, desperate. With his messy black eye and bruises from the recent tryst-gone-wrong-on-purpose he'd had, with the volume on mute he looked a bit like a domestic violence victim begging for mercy.
