(5:45:24 AM) showmejazzhands: Kaydence didn't flinch nor did he back down as the woman came charging at him, he stood his ground and face her as she came running, not even sparing a second glance in Jean-Auguste's direction as he went flying and there she was, the only thing he was truly terrified of the woman who had first taught him what it was to feel afraid, right there face to face with him, standing so close. Yes, Kaydence was terrified of her but none of it showed, the fear lived and thrived deep inside of him but there was nothing new that Contessa Wilde could do to him, there was nothing she hadn't already done to him as a child and as much as Kaydence liked to pretend those were nothing but repressed memories, the truth was that he did remember, he remembered all of it, every single bit. He stood there and watched her run at him with all the insanity that she was, Caim's words inside of his mind, he's decision already made, he'd annoyed her alright, he'd made her furious, he'd hit a spot inside of her that was sensitive and it made one corner of his lips curl with a deliciously evil sneer, an expression that stayed even when the pain hit, even as blood dripped from his lips with every pierce of that magic, invisible needle. Pain. Pain was okay; pain let him know that he was still very much alive. He didn't flinch or cringe and his eyes stayed locked with her own the entire time until she vanished.
