Andy had been looking down to avoid Kareem's line of sight the way he usually did when he felt too ashamed of who and what he was to feel able to look any of his amazing brother's in the eye, which was probably too often to be healthy, and so he missed the hidden sigh and change in demeanour. Good thing too as it would have just been more fodder for the guilt machine that ran in Andy's head.
He looked up as Kareem took his face between his hands though, smiling a very little at those kisses, an expression that turned more than pained, almost agonised at what he was told. He closed his eyes, it hurt too much to see so much misplaced faith in him, hurt him to look at that kind of love like it would burn out his retinas if he looked at the sun. He leant in closer and pressed his cheek back against Kareem's chest. "I don't deserve you." he said softly. "I couldn't do anything so good as to deserve you." His hands were shaking.
