Kareem worked very hard to suppress a sigh at Andy's frown, and he was pretty sure that he had managed it. If the sight of a healthy, happy Andy had energized him beyond belief, then the relapse of sadness had the opposite effect: it took the wind right out of his sails. The idea that he had been the cause of his baby brother's sadness was heartrending, and he wondered fir the millionth time how he had managed to fail Andy so utterly as a brother.
He gently took his brother's face in his hands, laying a kiss on each cheek, right where those rarely-seen but very beautiful dimples would appear if Andy began to smile again. "How is it," he asked, "that after all these years, my sweet baby brother, you still don't know that you're my favorite, most beloved creature on this Earth? No one and nothing will ever be good enough for you, do you understand me? You deserve every happiness."
