Andy winced a little, for a second, at Kareem's guttered start, worried that a scoff would be coming; something along the lines of 'try as much as you like, you won't be' or 'you'll never be good enough' or 'I can't believe he even lets you touch him' or any of the other pleasant things that he told himself all the time, all the things he'd internalised.
Needless to say, when Kareem denied it Andy thought it was sweet but just that, just his beloved brother trying to spare his feelings thinking he was worth more than he thought, which was anything at all as far as Andy was concerned. It was so sincere though.
"Kay..." he reached hands up to either side of his brother's face, cradling it there. "Baby, if it's not that then what else could it be?" he asked, assuming that his question wouldn't be answerable. He smiled though and drew his hands back to lean in against Kareem's chest again, snuggling with a sigh. "Love you for that though. I love you."
