Kareem thought that Andy would really dig these cookies, actually. He'd made them with top-brand semisweet chips instead of those knasty Hershey milk chocolate ones that everybody kept around so they would be better-quality and also a little less sweet. He watched with a grin as Andy did his Sherlock Holmes trick as he poked and prodded at Kareem's dishes.
Kareem nodded solemnly when Andy asked to confirm his happiness. He really was happy now. And Andy doing better was a big part of that. He had no complaints about enfolding Andy in his arms again. He always liked having his little brother in his arms, and when Andy kissed him on the cheek, he would find that cheek drawn up in a big smile. “I know,” he reassured Andy, rubbing Andy's back, trying to banish the few reservations he still had from his voice and his mind. “I know.”
