Safe and snug in those arms, Andy didn't want to move away. He stayed against Kareem's chest, feeling the rumble of his brother's voice there, close to his own heart. He eventually had to make a move back to let them both move further inside.
"Is that cookies?" he asked, smelling the air, avoiding the topic he wanted to broach for now because he didn't want to shatter what they had together right then. "I'm not bad, I'm glad you're good. Any particular reason behind that or...?" he asked, still smiling, letting the words trail off into realms of suggestion. He'd feared telling Kareem more before he was in his house in front of him; he couldn't imagine his brother reacting in any way that would break the family up now, not with the proof and the truth of his panther brother right in front of him. He hadn't been to stay in his room at Kareem's place for far too long and he felt guilty, stopping his brother's response with another spontaneous hug.
