Andy looked up at the shift of someone joining him under the van, panicked in the half-second it took him to realise that it was one of his brothers. He didn't move as Dally crawled in under, watching his dragon brother and finding that all his will to put aside the things he'd seen Dally say about him aside just buckled when confronted by the face he loved so much, that he'd thought had loved him back.
He declined the offer of a drink, not trusting himself to speak so just shaking his head. He just watched in silence as Dally spoke of them getting together after this all and it just made the splinter of hurt that had lodged itself into his feeling places turn and push itself deeper, only because it highlighted how blind Andy had been. He hadn't noticed anything unusual, hadn't picked up that anything between him and his older brother was wrong but now he knew and here Dally was still acting like nothing was amiss, like he didn't think Andy was.... what he'd said he was.
He was a little tranquilised by the pills he'd had, sure, but he couldn't hold it back when Dally offered to share a joint with him, like nothing was wrong between them. He'd meant to bring it up quietly, questioning, but when his mouth opened the question just spilled out, broken in half by the choke in his voice as it provoked tears from him, real tears of true pain. "You think I'm infectious?" It jumped out naked, not dressed in any of the tact Andy had wanted to use but raw and true and showing all of Andy's cards in one hand, how completely heartbroken hearing that had made him.
