Preparations Who: Su and Gabrielle What: Late Plans for the Show Where: Su's Office, London When: 10th of March, Morning
"It's the day of the launch Delacour and I feel like nothing is ready," Su snapped as she paced around in her office, a cigarette in her shaking gloved hand. "I need to make sure the guest list is complete and I need you to ensure that all of the right people are let in. So for goodness sake, make sure that pretty little blonde head of yours is screwed on properly, right?"
Her voice was like glass shattering on a concrete floor; she'd had countless shows and openings before but this one was important. It was London, an unfamiliar territory, and second in stature to Paris. Everything had to be right, no. Everything had to be perfect.
"Delacour, I want the champagne and waiters to be on time and please contact Parkinson, Greengrass, Johnson and Chang, I want them there." Blowing smoke inconsiderately into a seamstress' face, Su cracked her knuckles on the glass desk. "And Delacour: you can invite one person. But please, none of your less fashionable friends, I beg you. The last thing I want is some backwater French bitch bringing down the atmosphere."
