Nero had just never gone that far before, he sort of took for granted that it wouldn't happen. And despite being physically mortal, Sharley was as immortal to Spocklar as possible, and even with the promise that Az would resurrect her and everything, it still left his world shattered, even if it was temporary.
He did want to kill Nero. He could feel an uncharacteristic anger building up. The shock hadn't worn off yet, but it would, and then anger would take over. He wasn't a naturally angry creature, and that amount of it already felt overwhelming. He looked back at Tanya again. "I can find him. I want to kill him," he said in a low tone.
His eyes drifted over to Sharley again. She looked better even with still being dead. She wasn't as bloody at least, and the lack of red helped. "How come she has all those scars?" he asked softly. "I've never seen them before."
When the change in the atmosphere in the room occurred, Spocklar felt it too. He looked up at the air, expecting something visible to be there, but it wasn't. It was just a feeling. He didn't know what was coming, but he wasn't afraid of it, and he wasn't going to leave Sharley.
