Julian was torn between relief and apprehension when he saw Brooke's reply. He was glad she was here, which meant he could make sure she stayed safe, but then again they were in a strange place that likely wasn't safe at all. He would have preferred her to be home with their sons, where family and friends could watch over her since he was here, but Julian would take what he could get. He was just glad they both weren't here and the boys were left behind without anyone to watch them.
Casting a glance to the twins playing on the blanket he'd spread over the floor, he smiled a little. At least they didn't seem bothered by what had happened. Davis kept whining, which he assumed meant he wanted Brooke, but otherwise things were calm. Julian had no idea what they were going to do come feeding time, though.
Hearing a voice in the hallway, he moved to the door, keeping one eye on the boys as he threw it open. "Right here! Stop shouting as if I've done something wrong and give me a kiss."
