Adam noticed the quiet as he walked in and hoped that meant Cassie's roommates were out, and with luck wouldn't return in the very near future. The mansion was huge, certainly, but there were also so many people, and privacy felt a little in short supply. They didn't need anyone imposing on their conversation, or their time together. In all the chaos they really hadn't spent any time together, just the two of them.
Knowing they were alone, his attention focused on her, smiling in return, his simple happiness at seeing her temporarily pushing down all those more turbulent emotions that had been building inside of him since Diana's attack. In that moment he just wanted to pull Cassie into his arms and wrap them both in the feeling that everything was okay, or would be okay, because the both of them were safe. He would keep her safe, with everything in his power.
"She's alive," he said with a little tilt of his head as he walked across the room to be closer to Cassie. "I don't know if I can really say she's good, or anything like that. But she's recovering." Adam didn't know if the vampire blood would heal all Diana's wounds as well as tend to the blood loss, but he simply hoped there were no ill effects. Any bit it could help with healing would be better than nothing in his mind, and he felt more confident in Diana being able to recover knowing there was also a healer in the house that was willing to help. "How are you holding up?"
