"I did buy the booze," she said with a grin. "Least you can do is show me your new baby. And yes, my sword is glorious. I haven't hit anything with it hard enough to need sharpening, but she's served me well so far."
Ris was armed, she never went anywhere unarmed. It wasn't safe, not matter what people seemed to think about the town. But she didn't usually come with her sword into town. No point scaring people with the heavier blade. She had knives strapped to her in various places and she knew how to use them. They should take care of most fights she found herself in here. Ris wasn't out to pick fights, and she was a girl, so trouble didn't usually find her. When it did, though, she was ready to finish whatever someone else started.
