He was surprised to hear that he'd been allowed to sleep in here, although not being against the rules and not being frowned upon were two different things. He could only take the comment about comfortable beds as a rebuke that he'd come out here to make it more difficult for anyone who wanted, who wanted- for anyone. He couldn't remember having gotten up to hide behind the chair, but he remembered the lingering horrors that had come to him in the night as bad dreams and he nodded quietly to that question, still looking away in shame.
He did look up at the movement but he looked away again as soon as the other boy looked back at him, cringing at the incredulous tone because he only knew it as a precursor to chastisement. It didn't seem to be in this case though; his new friend was like no one he'd known before, although there was something about him that reminded Lemur of Peter. He chewed at his thumbnail a little and nodded hesitantly. "No Sirs No Sirs No Sirs." he said, compelled to speak three times.
