Considering he'd been about to chart out into unknown spaces of the galaxy on a quest to better understand the Force, a trip to the well charted planet of Terminus was a piece of cake for Jacen Solo. Granted he'd made certain to download and check the newest star charts as he plotted the course, because he wasn't going to take for granted that this galaxy was the same as the one he knew. Even the galaxy he 'knew' was not the same as the one he'd known, with Coruscant having changed under the Yuuzhan Vong's tenure on it. It was a long enough journey that Jacen had plenty of time to consider what he was going to be walking into on the planet. He'd only spoken to Rey over the journals, but something told him that she might hold a key to better understanding this galaxy, and perhaps the differences between it and his own. It was a long shot, and it was one that he probably should have tried to explain to his sister and his parents and his brother in person - but he'd left Jaina a note, told her to explain to his parents that he'd be back in a week - or a little longer than - and trusted that she would understand. She was his twin, and she always understood. Well, there were those times Jacen wasn't certain she did, but they were still twins whatever might have happened in the war in the meantime. What he felt most guilty about was leaving his brother, whom he hadn't seen in a really long time and was still in recovery. But Jacen felt that this was important. He needed answers to what was going on here, and Rey seemed like his best chance at those answers. At least the best one he'd had thus far. She'd warned him about their being people hunting down the Jedi, and she'd seemed to be pretty open with him. So he'd go and he'd ask the questions, and he'd see what answers he came up with. The journey was uneventful, which provided plenty of opportunity to determine what those questions would be. And as he docked the ship, ran through the checks to be certain it would be secure while he was away from it, and headed towards the cantina he'd told Rey to meet him at, Jacen's mind returned to those questions. Considering the information she'd given him before, he'd kept his lightsaber hidden in a pouch, easily accessible if he needed it, but not immediately apparent either. Otherwise he wore a simple jumpsuit - nothing that would make him particularly remarkable in the town. He entered the Cantina and looked around to see if he could see her. Hopefully the time differential on their arrival would not be too great. |
