"That sounds horrible," Wanda said, walking back around toward the main entrance of the carnival. "It is hard enough to understand one other person, let alone everyone. All at once?" She sounded disbelieving, but it was just that it was too hard for her to imagine what knowing everything about everyone would be like, it seemed too big to fit. Perhaps it was, he had said overwhelming. And it did go some way to explaining what she was sensing about his mind. She sighed and shook her head. "It is no wonder you don't want any memories back," she said.
"You did not scare me," she added, unwilling to let that one pass. "But it is okay. You will find a lot of trouble that way!"
Wanda could tell that Cloud wasn't enthused about the idea of riding her favorite ride, but she had a goal in her sight again. She paid for both tickets, since it was her idea, but when they'd entered, she turned to him.
"You can only watch," she said. The motorcycle had made her think of speed, but she thought now that it was not the same as the speed of the ride. She shrugged philosophically. "If that is what you prefer." It was nice to have company this far, at least.
