Of course he could, which was one of the reasons she didn't really hide. This wasn't about hiding. To be honest she was already questioning what she was doing. What the hell was her goal other than get him to go after her instead of some bystander? Was it to test him to see how far gone he was? To wear him down? Or just somehow break through to him? She wanted him free, that much she knew. She also preferred the idea of neither one dying.
Buffy scowled and stayed quiet, she knew if something else happened, Sarysi could track her comm. Besides, the channel was open anyway. But she used her frustration as fuel to focus. Not just with her own Slayer senses, but her burgeoning mental abilities. She could sense what direction he was coming from, the familiar feeling of undead and pull of magic, but that wasn't what she wanted. Buffy actively tried to reach through his mind, making another attempt to get into it. The abyss of darkness was a struggle and she shuddered without realizing it, the well of souls nearly more than she could take.
This was stupid. Risky. But she had to try. Magic, the seals she assumed, was different but it held a familiar edge to it. She did her best to avoid that and tried to focus on a dark cord that felt the most out of place to her. Her senses were screaming at her to be aware of her surroundings and though her grip tightened on the scythe, she chose to give that cord a pull, to see what would come of it.
