Who the hell were the witch and wizard? It was tempting to yell and ask, but considering her current predicament it really wasn't a good idea. She figured she'd get a chance to ask properly when he caught up to her. The crossbow currently put away, she was never intending to actually kill him with it anyway, Buffy pulled out the Scythe so she'd have at least one weapon in her hand. She almost pulled out one of the guns Selene had sent her, but Buffy wasn't quite ready for that yet. But she'd probably get there soon enough.
She darted through some trees, murmuring a few soft words in her comm, so her crew could continue to keep track of her status. She heard Sarysi's growl impatiently, her objection to this whole situation still very apparent. But Buffy knew her well enough now to know that she was worried. To be honest, so was Buffy, but she wasn't going to stop her any.
Once Buffy felt she had put enough distance between her and Alucard, which she doubted would last long, she finally took a moment to stop and focus on her surroundings as she took cover by a set of looming rocks that were taller than she was. Her gaze fell on a particularly looming tree with large low limbs. That could work, she thought to herself. She wasn't entirely sure what she was going to do with it, but a few thoughts came to mind and they would have to do for now.
