Sara was so lost in thought that she nearly didn't see River when she turned the corner. Luckily she caught sight of her just in time to stop before colliding. She was about to mumble out something, but then the other woman spoke first and Sara just stared at her.
"How-...." Sara didn't know what to think, how could River possibly know what happened. It was then she remembered some of what Selene had told her when she first took the job. Something about River just knowing things and that eventually she'd understand. Up until this point Sara hadn't really had the chance to ever interact with River. She'd see her here and there sometimes, but it seemed like she mostly kept to herself. Sara had planned on talking to her eventually, but also wanted to give her space.
Sara cleared her throat. "Thank you." She looked away for a moment as a small tear started to form. She brought a hand up to her face to wipe it away before it got a chance to fall, then returned her eyes back to River.
"This is what she meant? Selene said something about you knowing things. You know, this wasn't exactly the way I planned our first talk going." She didn't really know how she expected it to, but for sure not like this with the given situation. "Take it you have some sort of powers? Maybe from a world with that?" With all the different worlds out there, Sara now knew anything was possible. Plus, it wasn't like there weren't people with powers back home , with all the meta humans and what not.
