"Thanks." Jean said politely. She probably shouldn't accept food from strangers, but she was hungry. Eating hadn't exactly been priority one for her either. She felt like she was falling apart. She wanted so badly to just go back home, or to wake up and have this have been an awful dream...no matter what damage it might have caused.
Jean accepted the fruit and took a few bites as she listened to Xiria. She wasn't sure how much the woman realized was going on with Jean. She just hoped that she could help her. It was so much more than just the voices, but focusing on one thing at a time would probably be best. She didn't even know that any of this would work, bubt she had to try.
"I've heard a bit about the force since I've been here." Jean admitted. "Most people make it sound like it's some sort of magic." She shrugged and looked away for a moment. "My abilities...they're not magic. It's a mutation." She figured she might as well come out and say it. She didn't want to waste this woman's time if she couldn't help her.
"And it's not just the voices...there is more to it. I have other abilities...it's like there is this thing inside of me, and if I let it go...I could destroy everything." She had felt some of that when they'd taken on Apocalypse. But letting go had been necessary then.
