Jean hated it here. She didn't understand how any of this had happened. Try as she might, she could not even reach the Professor. She felt so alone. There were so many voices swirling inside of her head and as much as she'd wanted to keep them out, she found that she just couldn't. The Professor would know how to help her, but he wasn't here. She was in space, far from even the reach of such a powerful telepath as Charles Xavier.
Jean was going to have to figure this all out on her own, and that terrified her. Most people couldn't possibly imagine what it felt like to be her. Her nightmares could be really dangerous and so she was trying not to sleep. There was no reason to put the good people of the Naboo village she found herself in at risk. Jean had to find a way to exist like this.
She had listened to the advice of several people, but she felt like most of them just didn't get it. There were a couple who had given her suggestions that might have helped, but she wasn't sure yet. She hoped her meeting with Xiria would yield some positive results. And true to her word, when Jean came upon her, she was simply thinking of ocean waves.
"Hello." Jean said, timidly, taking a seat on the blanket. "I'm sorry to bother you with this."
