Who: Ryoko & Ryo-Ohki. Open to Anyone.
What: The great Ryoko Garage Sale.
When: Now.
Where: A warehouse on Naboo in one of the nicer farming and residential districts near the refugees.
Rating: PG/PG13 at most.
Status: Open to All.
The warehouse was spacious and clean, not really a surprise since this was more of a farming class district compared to the seedy underbelly of crime to launder money or move illegal wares. But everything in here with a price tag was gained legally. Sort of. Ryoko tended to sell and trade the pirated stuff off for legal junk so she could sell things off like this. It worked better than she expected and in a way it made her feel as if she was doing Tenchi proud by offering to sell stuff to the refugees. She and Ryo-Ohki didn't need food, even though they both enjoyed it, so it wasn't as if they needed to buy daily groceries. Hell, they spent so much time in space all they ever needed was booze and carrots, which Ryoko always made an effort to try and keep a surplus of. In fact the warehouse happened to be one of two buildings on the lot of land they owned here. The other was a small house they rarely used and the majority of the land was carrot fields farmed by droids and farmhands Ryoko bought and hired, which of course was another reason she held these sales.
The goods in the warehouse were in a little bit of disarray, but mostly because people looking through didn't clean up after themselves, the lazy bums. But it was organized better than anyone who knew Ryoko might expect. The weapons were in one section and locked in cases, as was any ammo she carried. She also had a retired Trandoshan hunter that helped any interested parties out. Urla Irzeet was gruff, but she was smart and fair, which took pressure off Ryoko. There were also some armed droids she kept maintained here on Naboo that even guarded the section to make sure no one tried to steal or start trouble. Armor and tech gear weren't too far away though, so it allowed the droids to keep a well practiced perimeter guard among the more expensive and dangerous items. Between the droids and Urla, things were relatively calm on sale days. Not that it was too dangerous since she didn't keep heavy artillery or anything here, but when she had learned several lessons the hard way when she started this event years ago. She liked being prepared just in case people were stupid.
Across the building was where Ryoko and Ryo-Ohki had set up the items for the more casual buyer. Clothes, books, toys, miscellaneous items, with another separated area for food and rations. No droids patrolled there and while Ryoko loved getting paid, if anything went missing there she turned a blind eye. If anyone noticed, she would insist it was just Ryo-Ohki's influence. After all, she'd seen her sister running around and giving away smaller items to people that she thought were nice.
In the front of the warehouse near the entrance, Ryoko had a droid set up to take care of customers that paid the tag prices. The pirate herself tended to wander the building, barter with some, insult others, and help out in the weapons section. More often than not though, she would just lounge in the rafters drinking, napping, or keeping an eye on Ryo-Ohki. Her sister loved to wander the warehouse in both child form and cabbit form, wanting to see people or show off some new little dance and song she had come up with in the hopes of putting a smile on someone's face. Today though, Ryo-Ohki was in her cabbit child humanoid form and swinging merrily on the hammock swing in the rafters that Ryoko had hung up for her. Ryoko herself was lounging next to her on a rafter beam, idly looking through the holonet, while casting casual glances to anything happening below. The droids and Urla knew to call her if anyone wanted to barter or haggle, or if anyone asked for specialized goods. Until then, she’d be content to being the lazy pirate she was.
