Buffy & Selene
Selene laughed softly. "Pretty much what my thoughts were. Going over to the other side not for you? Still..." She had given the matter some thought, and had made some preparations, mostly with Jael in mind, but you never knew until you asked. Opening a desk drawer, she pulled out a small plas medkit and slid it toward Buffy. "Those are ampules designed to fit a standard medkit injector. I'll let you in on a little secret. What makes me what I am is not some mystical soul transferrance or anything like that. The Corvinus bloodline is simply a virus, bonded to my DNA. Those ampules contain the pure virus in a form of medical suspended animation. I've brought people back from the dead with my blood. In a case like that, use a cardiac needle, straight into the heart. After a few hours, the body may come back but the mind seldom does. In case of emergency."
"I've seen a little of what he can do, but as far as feeling any powers... not something that works for me."
She nodded. "Not killing people with your brain is probably a good idea. I'm guessing that means the Jedi are not quite as extinct as the First Order would have us believe. I don't want to know where they are. What I don't know I can't tell. But you might mention to them that you know someone who is interested in learning a little more about the whole Resistance thing. Someone with over six centuries of combat experience and a Gunship. Soon to be a Gunship and a starfighter."
"Stay in touch. While you look into Jedi training, I believe I shall see what I can do about building more of a private fleet. Maybe start adding a select few to my line, as well, as you have your Cathar. See what sort of a strike force we can develop. It may give us the edge we need."
With a small movement of her hand, she gestured to the hatch. "We should probably return to the party before people notice our absence. Say that we were speaking of shipping contracts if anyone inquires. Besides, there are some steaks on the grill that are calling my name." Selene did a quick eyeroll. "And I just realized that for a vampire to speak favorably about stakes sounds odd, indeed."
