Buffy & Selene
"I think anyone with even half the lifestyles some of us have had have every right to have a degree of insanity," Buffy said with a wry grin. Being broken in one way or another was definitely not an alien thing to her.
"Well, I just know how it is back home. I also know what they feel like and they just feel wrong." She half shrugged, knowing her description was aloof sounding. "You don't feel the same. Different vibe and none of that wrongness the soulless have. There's always something missing in them." Maybe it was the demon aspect in Slayers that could just sense another demonic aspect in others or it was some other part of the Slayer line she had yet to fully learn.
"Um..." what had Clippy called her ship? "Uh... I think its Simian class or something." Her smile was sheepish and apologetic at how she butchered the name. "I know that's not right, but the name makes me think of a monkey. I was told it used to belong to some bounty hunter though. Has a whole holo-cage set up for that kind of thing." She wasn't too sure what to think of the offer though. It sounded reasonable, but she also couldn't promise to be able to do the work. Not with the whole Jedi thing coming up. Geez, how the hell did she fill up her activities calendar so badly? "I'm going to have to think about the offer though... there's some other stuff I've got on the schedule that kinda take precedence, you know?"
Buffy nodded and gestured for Selene to lead the way. "Lead on. After all, you know your ship a heck of a lot better than I do." The slayer waved at Sarysi, who nodded, knowing she was to stay put and just be on guard in general. She didn't know the details of what was going on, but she hadn't pried when Buffy had discussed this whole meeting thing. Which was good, because Buffy hadn't told her about Alucard's situation. She trusted Sarysi, but Alucard didn't know her and she wasn't going to break that trust without good reason.
