Buffy & Selene
She frowned in understanding. It always boiled down to lies, didn't it? The whole Slayer line as she was taught was pretty much built on lies. She had been hoping to help fix that in the long run after Sunnydale, but fate just had other plans for her. The frown vanished suddenly and Buffy pouted. "I think I might be a little jealous. But only a little." Maybe she could hone her own abilities to be that precise, but first she had to deal with this Force stuff. Heck, maybe that would work in her favor.
Buffy spared a glance at Sarysi and nodded. "I figured it was something like that or because she was just glad I gave her a chance on Tenebris. But she wasn't screaming evil murdering fiend, and that's something I'm well acquainted with, so I thought it was worth a shot. It's working out so far. Probably helps that she kind of reminds me of a weird mesh of friends back home."
"Geez, maybe I should have paid more attention when my ex used the military speak," Her upbeat tone was about average on the Buffy scale, more social than annoying cheerleader level. "Maybe if I had, I might have learned more than how to avoid getting killed by mad military scientists who think Frankenstein is a how to book." Her brow furrowed in slight confusion. "So you hunt pirates. I mean, I know there are smugglers and stuff, but actual pirates? Who pays you for that?"
Buffy ran a hand through her hair and released her own sigh. "The big space stuff is kinda out of my league, so I figured stick to what I know. Help out there. It's weird though. Back home we have one variety of vampire. Soulless evil with maybe two exceptions. But I knew some demons back home that were just trying to get by like humans, so I figured new universe, new methods, you know? Stop the actual monsters, leave the rest alone unless pushed or they decide to like, end the world or something."
