"So it would seem," Kurama agreed. He'd risked more than he'd realized when he'd stolen his way into the human realm and a human form. He wondered how much Selene had sacrificed for her own immortality.
"I hope that this galaxy will give you the time with her that you seek. I cannot imagine being separated from your child in such a way." His own mother would have been heartbroken to lose him. He had offered an uncharacteristic prayer to the kami that his absence would not be noticed, as others' experiences had suggested.
