Selene and Kurama

"Those who seek to remain unnoticed, or to be rewarded for their loyalty, will not enjoy that protection for long. I suspect you've seen the same on Earth.
"The fox is a consummate survivor, but I have found that there are times when survival alone is not enough. I understand your hesitance." He offered Selene a worn smile. "I cannot share it. A longer life no longer means what it once did for me."
