Selene and Kurama
Selene raised an eyebrow as something... changed about the young man she was speaking with. It was subtle; nuances of stance, something about his eyes, a slight difference in heartbeat. Deciding he wasn't being threatening, she listened while he talked without reacting any more than she already had.
She considered what he had asked. "Survivability and profit are my two main concerns. Pirates generally have a by-the-head bounty, and shipping companies willing to pay for their elimination. Not to mention their ships and what they might have in their holds. Most run armed freighters, but there is a lot of old ImpMil hardware that has gone astray since the war. We can pretty much take anything up to a light cruiser, and give a heavy cruiser indigestion. Any bigger and somebody needs to hire a flotilla, not a single Gunship. Any other job, similar parameters. I have a good crew, but we aren't a police force, and certainly aren't an army.
"Profitability, much the same. It costs a lof to run a Gunship, and battle damage repairs are not cheap. While I may do a pro bono for a worthwhile cause, I don't advertise it because then everybody would come begging."
She considered Kurama carefully. "Did you have something in mind, or filing data for future reference?"
