Buffy hadn't expected to see as many people as she did and it almost made her wonder if she had the right place. But the slayer senses were in full gear and she could feel undead radar of hers having a bit of a hissy fit. She glanced over at her plus one, a cathar vampire named Sarysi, who was already watching everyone with a wary gaze. It wasn't Sarysi causing the ruckus in her senses; she'd spent plenty of time with the cathar that Sarysi felt familiar to her at this point.
Had to be Alucard's 'cousin' then, which was the whole reason she was here and why she'd brought Sarysi with her. Sure, Buffy could probably handle it if it was a trap, but backup was always nice. This was also why she left some contingency plans with the droids, just in case. Of course, she could just be paranoid and this really was just a party and nothing bad was going to happen, ever.
"It is different than I thought it would be," Sarysi said, breaking Buffy out of her thoughts. "It seems very... hospitable."
The pair began to walk around, both absorbing the atmosphere and doing their own form of recon. They were armed of course, just in case. Sarysi had a blaster and Buffy had her slayer scythe sheathed on her back. It probably looked like an odd choice for an accessory considering the dress she wore, but the dress was a rare find for her and it demanded to be worn. The style was similar to a swing dress of the 1940s from Earth and it was a shade of red that actually matched her scythe. She had to have it and what better place to wear it than a party?
Buffy absently smoothed out a crease in her skirt as she made sure her casual cheerful mask was in place. The bouncy smile she reserved for her cheerleader alter ego now fully in place, Buffy grabbed Sarysi by the wrist with a light laugh that startled the vampire who was still not used to the way Buffy could switch personas, and pulled her toward other people in order to mingle. "Come on, let's go find out just how friendly the place is."
