"You didn't answer my question," Wanda noted, as neutral as River at her best. "How do you know?" She reached out to trace one of the patterns on the box, feeling like she was playing with fire. But if you're not sure if the house is on fire, you touch the doorknob to feel for heat before flinging open the door. Her touch was light, tentative, ready to snatch her hand away.
"We, as a whole, are not very good at being 'we'," Wanda added, neutrality starting to slip away. "It's easy to pull us apart from each other, and once we are apart..." She shook her head. "Fear is easy too," she said. "Too easy." She wondered if River felt fear.
"Do you think so?" she asked, considering the question of the Force once again. And secrets, always secrets. "They probably just restricted access to...I am sure it would be interesting to know who," Wanda said dryly.
