"Some people are lucky," Wanda said, with a shrug. She'd seen many people who seemed more lucky than her, and more certain of themselves as well. She suspected that people who actually believed themselves to be lucky were a bit more rare, though. Everyone had their own problems, whatever they might be.
"But some people are good at faking things," she added, this shrug a bit more wry, a bit more pointed. "I suppose it works for them." She was not feeling judgmental right now, though she had seen it all, or at least felt like she had.
Wanda sighed, feeling exhausted even though objectively, this meeting with Buffy hadn't taken very long. But there had been a lot crammed in; that was what happened when thoughts were shared.
"Thank you," Wanda said quietly. She essayed another smile. "Perhaps next time I will tell you something more cheerful? Or perhaps you will tell me?" She didn't want to always be leaning on Buffy; a friendship needed to go both ways. "Next time," she said, a little more firmly.
