"I'm so sorry." Her words weren't hollow, but she knew from experience that they weren't enough. It was just one of those things you had to say because no matter how much sympathy you had, words just fell short. Buffy chewed her bottom lip as she watched Wanda try and sort her thoughts and emotions. She knew what it was like to lose someone, having done so more than she'd like. It wasn't easy for her, so she couldn't imagine it being any more simplistic for Wanda. If she had actually lost Dawn like they had their mom... Buffy tried not to think about it, especially these days, when she had no idea what was going on back home.
She reached out with a comforting hand at Wanda's broken words, setting it down on her shoulder. "Take it slow." The emotions pouring off of Wanda was starting to feel far more real than Buffy was used to. It was similar to the instinctive vibes she had gotten from Sarysi, something that wasn't normal for Buffy's powerset and it definitely went beyond basic human empathy. It was confusing to say the least, but if it could help her help Wanda, she was all for it. It was palpable and the heaviness was enough to give her flashbacks to being overwhelmed with that demon induced telepathy years ago. It made her really wish she knew exactly what had happened, as if the fact alone wasn't enough to cause this, though she knew full well loss was more than enough to do this to someone. "I'm not going anywhere."
