The Gakkt's weight hit her like a freighter, knocking her to the ground and driving the breath from her lungs as she landed on her back. Liriael gasped for air, even as she raked her fingernails across the creature's snout to try and tear it off of her. Her heartbeat hammered in her chest, adrenaline and fear both mixed in her veins. The scent of burning rubber filled her nose-
Burning what..
She lost all sense as the Gakkt's teeth bit down into her shoulder, deep, piercing through cloth and flesh instantly. Liriael felt the poison, a searing heat, and she screamed again, her body arching in agony. She reached out, for anything to grasp, unaware that she was doing so with the Force, until she felt...a great yawning nothingness right where the Gakkt was howling above her. The same nothingness she'd felt when she tried to probe Bibble. She'd thought that he had built some sort of defense, but an animal had no such method of hiding themselves from the Force...
And she felt it. The deep, hazy pool of fear and anger pooling, drawing from the Dark Side, unchecked now as poison slipped through her. Liriael didn't think, she just gathered it all to her, letting it flow through and scour her mind, leaving flashburns in it's wake. All of the pain coalesced into a point, and it exploded from her, hurling the Gakkt across the grass, skidding and tumbling until it hit the side of Bibble's house with a crash, taking out chunks of bricks. Before it even landed, Liriael was scrambling to her feet, falling down and forcing herself back up again. Her left arm hung useless, but she didn't need her arm to run.
Gulping air desperately, she threw herself at the speeder, reaching it as she heard another roar behind her. Her right hand hurriedly grasped to power it on, as she clamored inside, more landing on the seat than sitting in it. As if hearing her silent prayer, the speeder flared to life.
