For just a brief moment, Liriael glanced back to gauge the distance between the creature and herself, and saw the odd blue coloring where her blaster had hit it. What was....the momentary distraction was driven from her mind as she suddenly had to shield herself from an explosion of rocks as the Grakkt destroyed the wall. Instinctively, she reached for her connection to the Force and created a barrier, but she couldn't deflect them all and she cried out as two struck her left shoulder, spinning her towards the Gakkt once more.
Stumbling backwards, she sighted with the blaster again, firing several shots in quick succession. The creature lunged at her, and her third shot went wide as the other two glanced off the armored plate above the monster's mouth. She had to dart to her right to avoid the teeth closing on her, rolling in the grassland that surrounded Bibble's property. Grassland....a Grakkt wouldn't be this far from marshland, would it? What in the burning wastes was Bibble thinking?
This time, she wasn't as quick. The creature's claws raked along her calf before she could get out of range, and although the thick weave of her pants and the leather boots stopped it from taking her leg off, the gouge went deep enough, sending fire up her limbs. Liriael couldn't help the scream of pain, even as she forced herself to get up and keep going, running towards her speeder. So close, she could almost taste it..
